New Product Development
You can actually develop new products without capital investment or additional
labor charges, simply by leveraging UOP’s unique materials and manufacturing
know-how. In this mutually beneficial relationship, you become the product
developer while UOP becomes the product supplier. Based on your confidential
disclosures, UOP will manufacture custom products to meet your exact needs.
Your end-products may use materials fully specified by you, or may incorporate
UOP materials such as a zeolite or alumina powder.
Customer Information and End Use Are Protected
The UOP Specialty Products group closely guards all of your proprietary information
(including your identity and your product’s end use) through signed secrecy
agreements. Even within UOP, we limit interaction solely to the groups necessary
for the development and manufacture of your custom products. By taking such
measures, we are able to ensure confidentiality during all phases of development
and commercialization.
Customer Product Ownership
Your custom catalyst will be exclusively sold to you by the UOP Specialty Products
group. You may obtain the right to use new UOP materials for your product applications
if such materials are incorporated into the custom products.
Access to Information on New Materials
The UOP Specialty Products group can provide you with samples of both existing
and newly developed UOP materials. You can arrange for the preparation of laboratory-scale
custom samples in sphere, extrudate or powder forms, subject to availability
at the time of the request.
