Formed Catalyst Base

UOP possesses the unique manufacturing capability to produce spherical catalyst supports from alumina, silica-alumina, and molecular sieves. We employ advanced oil-dropping technology to produce spheres of exceptional uniformity of size and shape.

UOP has also developed the capability to produce extruded catalyst supports from a variety of materials. Such materials include high-purity Versal alumina powders, amorphous silica-alumina and alumina, as well as silica-bound molecular sieves, clay-bound alumina, and amorphous silica. We offer several extruded shapes of catalyst supports, including cylindrical and trilobed.

Our Specialty Products group can offer you a great degree of customization of the physical and chemical properties of the supports you need. To find out how we can contribute to your company’s success, contact us today using our information request form.
