Named for their versatility, UOP’s Versal aluminas offer you a wide array
of high purity alumina powders in a variety of physical forms. They are primarily
used as catalyst supports, washcoat slurries and binders. They can also be
used in the manufacture of abrasives and polishing media.
As a result of UOP’s ongoing product innovations, the Versal line now
offers aluminas with varying densities and dispersibility ranges, including
pseudoboehmite, gamma, alpha, and bayerite aluminas.
Our V-200 and V-300 powders are ideal for most catalytic applications, because
of their low acid dispersibility characteristic that results in catalyst substrates
with a highly macroporous structure. In addition, the V-700 and V-900 powders
offer even greater versatility because of their higher level of dispersibility
and density. They can be blended with other Versal products or used alone to
produce high-strength catalytic supports with extremely narrow pore distributions.
