UOP Sinco SSP Process
The UOP Sinco SSP Process is a world-class solid stating process technology
you can use to upgrade a variety of polymers. The UOP Sinco SSP process
was initially developed by a PET resin producer to meet producer’s
objectives: make the highest quality resin at the lowest possible cost.
Its success is clear: over 70 SSP licensed units around the globe with
a total capacity of 5 million metric tons of resin per year. Operating
UOP Sinco SSP units produce bottle grade PET chips that are used by
major bottled beverage producers.
UOP Sinco offers batch and continuous SSP processes for a variety of polymer
upgrade applications, with capacities ranging from 1 (pilot plant) to 800
metric tons per day:
- Bottle grade PET from conventional
batch and continuous melt polymerization process (homo- and copolymers)
- PBT, PEN, PTT, Polyamides
- C-PET for heated food trays
- High tenacity technical yarns
- R-PET for recycling of PET industrial waste and post-consumer material.
To help you maintain your profitability and your investment, UOP
Sinco supplies engineering, equipment, and services for new and existing
SSP plants worldwide, including: new SSP unit design, process unit
revamps/ upgrades, melt phase plant modifications, development services,
and field technical services
Scope of supply can include basic & detailed engineering design, process
