Gas Conversion Processes
If you’re considering monetizing your gas field through the
conversion of methane or natural gas liquids (NGLs) to petrochemicals,
then look to UOP for all of the right technologies.
UOP’s syngas processing technology can help you produce chemicals such
as ammonia and methanol through the use of synthesis gas. You can further convert
this methanol into both ethylene and propylene through our Methanol-to-Olefins
(MTO) technology.
The Oleflex process enables you to convert the propane fraction of NGL/LPG
directly to propylene. You can also use Butamer technology to convert normal-butane
into iso-butane, and you can use the Cyclar process to convert LPG directly
into liquid aromatics.
