Huels SHP-CB Process
The Huels SHP-CB process can be used to selectively hydrogenate the
butadiene from your crude C4 stream from a steam cracker by converting
it to butene-1 and butene-2. Acetylenes and dienes are likewise hydrogenated.
The butene-1 can be recovered in a Huels Butene-1 Separation process
unit and used as a co-monomer for polyethylene production (LLDPE and
HDPE).
