Middle East conference brings together industry experts to discuss issues facing the industry

The 2011 UOP Middle East Refining, Petrochemicals and Gas Processing technology conference was recently held in Doha, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Both events were co-hosted by esteemed national oil and gas companies; Qatar Petroleum co-hosted and supported the Doha event while both Takreer and ADGAS co-hosted and supported the Abu Dhabi event. The UOP-hosted conference was a forum for open discussion and provided an opportunity for Middle East customers to discuss the issues facing the industry and learn about UOP’s innovative solutions. The multi-day conference was filled with technical presentations given by UOP experts from refining, petrochemicals and gas processing industries.
Purvin & Gertz, Energy Consulting Firm, provided an overview of the global energy industry while CMAI, another Energy Consulting Firm, gave an overview of global and regional petrochemicals market dynamics. In addition, ExxonMobil, Research & Engineering (EMRE), discussed the UOP/EMRE alliance for high quality lube and diesel production technology.
