Research
The mission of UOP’s Research efforts is to constantly develop
and improve innovative technologies for your company’s sustainable
growth and customer satisfaction.
In order to realize this mission, UOP researchers have developed a full toolbox
for innovation in core R & D areas, including materials science, catalysis
and process development. This research toolbox contains integrated techniques
for new materials synthesis, advanced characterization, multi-scale modeling
from molecular to process scale, nanotechnology, and advanced sensing and process
control. Its tools include high throughput synthesis, characterization and testing
methods.
Currently, we are using these enablers for innovation to reinvigorate UOP’s
traditional strengths in the Refining, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, and Manufacturing
industries. These tools are also supporting development of new chemistry and
technology in areas such as alternate feedstocks, cleaner fuels, hydrogen production,
and green process technology.
