Delivering Quality
At UOP, we value quality in all that we do. Quality is one of the
core values we use to evaluate our business actions, our operations
and our individual behaviors.
There are two key elements in delivering customer satisfaction, both
revolve around quality. The first is making each interaction with UOP
a positive, beneficial and satisfactory exchange. The second is ensuring
that UOP products, technology, services, and information deliver performance
as promised. As your relationship with UOP grows you are also assured
of consistent performance from delivery to delivery.
The following UOP Quality Policy has been issued to emphasize the importance
of these key elements.
UOP Quality Policy
We expect every UOP employee to strive to fully understand and to
completely satisfy the customer's requirements. We are committed
to deliver technology, products, services, and information that meet
or exceed the defined and agreed upon customer needs and expectations. The
global UOP Quality Management Process (which utilizes actual performance
data to drive continuous improvement), will enable our employees to
fulfill these objectives.
The Quality Management Process (QMP) provides all areas of UOP with
a consistent set of guidelines and methodologies for delivering what
the customer wants and expects. This business-driven initiative centers
on a Business Quality Strategy (BQS) containing improvement programs
with measurable results. At UOP, quality is addressed at both the business
level and the manufacturing plant level.
The QMP and BQS are built on a foundation of customer needs. The overall
process helps UOP focus on three valuable business aspects:
- Inventing the product that matches the needs of the customer,
- Manufacturing the product that performs as promised the first time,
- Manufacturing the same product with the same performance every time.
