convert bio-feedstocks like vegetable oils, greases and certain waste products into valuable fuel
and chemicals. A major milestone in this pursuit is the successful conversion of vegetable oils

UOP’s Bipin Vora Recognized for Outstanding Contributions to Chemical
Process Technology
The Catalysis Society of India, the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the
Department of Chemistry at MS University of Baroda have collectively awarded Bipin V. Vora
The Outstanding Contribution to Chemical Process Technology citation. The award was
presented at the Advances in Catalysis Science & Technology National Symposium which took
place on December 9 and 10 in Baroda, India.
UOP Holds 2nd R&D Refining Panel Meeting with Customers
“Fuels of the Future” was the theme of UOP’s 2nd Research & Development Refining Panel on May 19 & 20 in Madrid, Spain. A select group of UOP customers met with a high-level focus on the refining industry going forward into the 21st century.
