UOP’s new CCR Catalysts provide higher yields to help you meet your goals.
Reforming catalysts: meet a range of goals with the most advanced technology
No matter what your operating goals are, UOP’s portfolio of Reforming catalysts has you covered for cyclic, fixed-bed and continuous reforming units. UOP has been reinventing and perfecting reforming since our introduction of the first reforming unit in 1949.
We produce more than a dozen different high-performance reforming catalysts for the production of high-octane gasoline or BTX aromatics.
In the spirit of continued innovation, UOP has recently introduced three new catalysts. Our newest fixed-bed platforming catalyst, UOP R-500 catalyst, is an optimized, high-performance catalyst that delivers breakthrough performance and maximum flexibility. It has the highest activity and stability available and can increase yields over an operating cycle or extend your cycle length. Our latest CCR Platforming catalysts, UOP R-254 and UOP R-284, provide even higher C5+, hydrogen and aromatics yields, resulting in increased profitability.
UOP helps manage your process unit’s operation from cradle to grave, by providing you with the most advanced design, smooth start-up, reliable operation, superior service, training and continuous technology advancements.
UOP takes great pride in our intensive catalyst R&D and high-quality manufacturing. We offer the most advanced characterization and lab analysis, pilot plants for performance testing and numerous plants worldwide with great inventory positions for fast response.

UOP High Performance Chloride Treaters
Look to UOP’s specialty aluminas and molecular sieves as effective scavengers in removing chlorides from various gas and liquid process streams. If not removed, they can ultimately lead to corrosion and ammonium chloride salt formation in downstream compressors and fuel-gas systems.
Adsorbents are most commonly used in adsorbing chlorides from reformer hydrogen off-gases. These adsorbents feature a high surface area and high macroporosity to ensure optimum capacity for chloride adsorption. In addition, UOP has developed an effective specialty molecular sieve to treat the liquid reformate stream to remove trace chlorides.
