Platforming Processes
UOP offers a broad range of Platforming technologies to meet the needs
of any refinery.
CCR Platforming is the preferred process for reforming of naphtha
to produce aromatics for petrochemical complexes, high octane gasoline
and hydrogen. In the CCR Platforming unit, aged catalyst in the reactors
is continuously replaced with catalyst that has been freshly regenerated
in an external regenerator (CCR regenerator) to maintain fresh
catalyst performance.
Continuous improvements in fixed-bed Platforming process technology
have made this technology the preferred process for units that do not
require operation at high severity or for refiners who wish to make
staged investment to achieve high severity operation.
UOP is also a supplier of naphtha hydrotreating technology [NHT], which effectively
and economically prepares feed for processing in Platforming units and light
naphtha isomerization units.
In addition, our Recovery-Plus technology offers a means to recover reformate
and LPG and increase hydrogen purity beyond conventional recovery schemes in
a packaged, modular delivered unit.
