Alkylation
UOP offers a broad range of both solid and liquid alkylation catalyst
technologies to help meet your refinery’s specific market needs.
The UOP HF Alkylation process catalytically combines C3-C5 olefins
with isobutane to produce motor fuel alkylate, which is ideal for producing
reformulated gasoline. Used with HF alkylation technology, the Alkad process
reduces aerosol formation in the event of an HF release, while maintaining
the unit operability and product quality. A Huels Selective Hydrogenation Process
(SHP) unit processing HF Alkylation unit feed can significantly improve the
HF unit performance.
UOP has developed a new approach to produce a gasoline blending component similar
in quality to traditional motor alkylate. The InAlk process uses commercial,
solid catalysts for reacting light olefins to produce a high
octane, paraffinic gasoline component similar to traditional alkylate. The
InAlk process is based on proven technology and light hydrocarbon chemistry.
The Alkylene process is a novel solid-catalyst alkylation process with a product
equal to that produced by liquid HF alkylation.
No matter what your alkylation needs, count on UOP’s state-of-the-art
technologies to optimize your output.
