Second Generation Feedstocks
The availability and use of second generation feedstocks like algal oils
and cellulosic waste is necessary to achieve long-term biofuels
sustainability. In order to fully realize the potential of
biofuels in meeting growing fuel demand and lowering green house gas
emissions, technologies that utilize these feedstocks without
compromising valuable food, land and water resources must be made
available.
