Plant Start-Up Services

UOP provides plant start-up services to assist you with the commissioning of your new UOP unit.

Our process and instrument advisors begin by inspecting your equipment in the field to evaluate compliance with UOP design specifications, then assist you to prepare unit-specific commissioning, operating and emergency procedures. Our advisors monitor catalyst and adsorbent loadings, precommissioning, instrument loop checking, and start-up operations.

Our advisor team will guide your personnel through unit operations, aid them in optimizing unit performance, conduct plant demonstration tests, and finally, document your unit’s initial performance.

Our start-up team typically consists of a chief process advisor, an instrument advisor, and three process advisors. The chief process advisor generally arrives on site during the final phase of unit construction, followed shortly thereafter by the instrument advisor. The remaining process advisors are there for the catalyst loading and the start of round-the-clock operations. Our advisors will provide 24x7 coverage, if necessary.
