routings, major equipment ratings, and heater monitoring and fuel segregation
practices. We then conducted extensive operator training, using both classroom
presentations and hands-on training. The project’s increases in throughput,
naphtha production, time between turnarounds and fuel efficiency yielded a
profit improvement of $13.6 MM per year.
