L.A. Turbine and GEA to Collaborate With Honeywell As Part of Connected Plant

Growing Honeywell technology community focuses on improving midstream operations

HOUSTON, April 12, 2017  ̶  Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that L.A. Turbine Corp. and GEA have both joined Honeywell’s Connected Plant program to jointly develop and provide solutions and technologies that will help customers minimize unplanned shutdowns and safety risks while optimizing output yields.

By joining the Honeywell Connected Plant program, L.A. Turbine and GEA can help customers leverage data and insights in their operations along with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in one package with Honeywell UOP Russell’s modular gas processing plants.

“L.A. Turbine and GEA provide critical components used in UOP modular gas plants,” said John Gugel, VP and general manager of gas processing and hydrogen at Honeywell UOP. “With this joint development program, we can provide our customers with better predictive analytics and greater plant reliability and uptime to help them operate more profitably.”

“These collaborations further our development and delivery of advanced technologies and solutions,” said Shree Dandekar, vice president of Honeywell’s Connected Plant business. “We have already worked with L.A. Turbine and GEA, and now we can leverage that history to develop better products that deliver even greater value for our shared customers.”

L.A. Turbine and GEA are the latest companies to join Honeywell’s Connected Plant program, which uses the power of the IIoT to improve the safety, efficiency and reliability of operations in a single plant or across an entire complex. Honeywell recently announced agreements with Flowserve, Dover, Aereon and several other industrial leaders to jointly develop products and services as part of Connected Plant.
