Honeywell UOP Callidus® auxiliary equipment helps improve the safety and efficiency of your flare system. We offer a full line of proven effective flare accessories including velocity seals, velocity density seals and knockout drums.

Callidus knockout drums remove liquid hydrocarbons to help the waste gas burn more efficiently and protect your flare system. We offer a selection of horizontal and vertical knockout drums to best meet the needs of your operation.

Horizontal knockout drums are generally freestanding and use gravity to separate the liquids. Vertical knockout drums are typically located in the base of the flare stack and separate the liquids using centrifugal action.

The Callidus Velocity Seal Purge Reduction System is an economical choice for your elevated flare system. These systems are continuously purged in to maintain the oxygen level in the flare stack below that at which the waste gas will burn. The Callidus Velocity Seal limits oxygen diffusion down the inside wall of the flare stack, reducing the amount of purge gas required to maintain the flare in a safe condition. This reduces your facility’s utility costs.

The Callidus Velocity Density Seal features unique internals in a purge reduction labyrinth design to lower utility costs and provide safer operation.

Elevated flare systems are continuously purged to maintain the oxygen level in the flare stack below the temperature at which waste gas will burn. The Density Seal Purge Reduction System takes advantage of the density difference between the oxygen and the waste gas to reduce the amount.
